Rejuvenate Your Life: for mature women who want more from their Seenager years
Is Victoria's latest book, you can purchase on Amazon:
In her book, Rejuvenate Your Life: for mature women who want more in their ‘Seenager’ years Rejuvenating yourself is a huge challenge. If you have poured your heart and your soul into creating your life so far then it can feel like that is who you really are but ageing and growing older can make you feel less attractive, less valued, even vulnerable.
Anxiety, worry and doubt are never far away when you find yourself questioning how your life, your appearance, your health, relationships and finances are going to be in the future. And no matter how many pensions and savings you have lined up you live in uncertain times and with the expectation of living to at least 100 years of age. This can seem daunting on many levels, and you may wonder how you transition into the next phase of your life, post menopause with a healthy body, sound mind and emotional contentment.
I am a Bereavement Officer working at Darent Valley. I have worked in care for more than 20 years and have been working at Darent Valley for almost 9 years. I started as a health care assistant working on Trauma and Orthopaedic ward which I loved, during covid I worked as a Ward Clerk and still do at the weekends. My passion has always been helping people and when I saw an advert for a Bereavement officer I decided to apply and to my surprise I got the job!! I can honestly say this is the best job I have ever had, helping people during such a sad time in their lives is an honour and a privilege.
I am also very passionate about mental health, which can of course be exacerbated by grief. I am currently working on a project that will collaborate all of the services available to people needing support in our area. There are so many services not being utilised simply because people are not aware that they exist. I am also Co-Chair of the Pride Network in DVH and looking forward to being able to offer support and create safe spaces for our LGBTQI+ staff and their families.
Hi I'm Catherine, I have worked in Darent Valley Hospital as a nurse since 2001. I was always interested in mental health and its impact on patients and staff, including myself! After personal difficulties and bereavements I sought counselling: the process not only helped but also sparked my interest. Consequently, I qualified as an integrative counsellor three years ago.
My specific interests are bereavement, past trauma and anxiety. I work with the Health and Wellness Team as an "in house" counsellor for staff, as well as working alongside the Bereavement team to help support bereaved relatives. I feel extremely fortunate to do what I love, which is to help.
